InterACT-IN!

The project “InterACT-IN!” was an international seminar that took place between the 6th and 11th of September 2015 on the Spanish village of Ezcaray (La Rioja). The event joined together organisations from six different European countries in order to work together and exchange good practices related to intercultural inclusion and the acquisition of new social skills through non formal education methodologies for children and young people using theater and dramatic techniques. The project was coordinated by the Spanish organisation Teatro Crítico Universal (TECU) with the support of Kinder- und JugendKulturWerkstatt JOJO (DE), Kultuur aitab hingata (EE), Culture House of Rezekne National Societies (LV), Kobiety.lodz.pl (PL) and SHAFT (Selim Halki Azeri Folklor Toplulugu) (ZIFT) (TR). The seminar focused on tools or projects that the partner organisations use on the mentioned field to create youth initiatives related to this topic and promote the youth participation and entrepreneurship on the theater and arts sector. Furthermore, the seminar made possible to create new networks and links among organisations from different countries that could set the bases of future cooperations through the European programmes available to promote the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities through theater. Besides activities to exchange best practices and learn about the partner organisations involved on the seminar, participants took also part in workshops, training sessions and dynamics focused, not only on getting to know the environment of the project, but also the cultural and folk reality of the countries participating on it (food , traditions, history, etc.).
